Entry Level – you will look at roles within the educational sector and how you can support the teaching in the classroom while protecting, safeguarding and supporting health and safety Certificate level will develop you further as you look at an Introduction to learning difficulties and young people and mental health and what strategies you can use in the classroom and the barriers to learning for children and young people. You will also develop your own understanding of communication, speaking and listening and the importance in a classroom, this alongside ICT and research activities will build your academic skills

Progression

On completion of this course, there is the potential to progress on to the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching in the Classroom.Should you wish to continue this journey on to university you could study a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject and then an Access to HE courses Social Work and Primary Education. ?

Assessment

The course will be assessed by your teacher using a portfolio of evidence for each module that you have been supported to produce.Examples of this evidence could be in a range of practical activities such as presentation delivery and role play and written assignment work where leaflets, reports or information booklets will be included.
