Outline

The Introduction to Local Law and Forensic Services taster course will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of local law, criminal justice, and forensic services. You’ll learn about the criminal justice system, the role of law enforcement, and how forensic science contributes to solving crimes. This engaging, hands-on course will give you a practical insight into the legal and forensic services fields, setting the stage for more advanced study in law and criminology.

Progression

After completing the 1-week taster course, you’ll be ready to progress to the Access to HE Diploma (Law and Criminology). With the skills and knowledge gained, you can continue your studies in law, criminology, or criminal justice, and apply to university for a degree in these fields. If you meet the entry requirements of a Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and or Mathematics (or equivalent), you’ll be well-equipped to take the next step in your academic journey.
